A few words on the coming workshop
The first part of a workshop series: Essential Intermediate Yoga Postures
In this practical workshop we will do all preparations in a step by step progression towards Sirsasana (Headstand or Head Pose). We will go over the foundational techniques and get lots of tips that will help anyone who want to enjoy many years of headstanding. We will also work with every limitation, whether physical or other, to help individuals with specific difficulties.
Sirsasana is considered a "royal" Asana (yoga posture), it has lots of benefits and is part of the essential repertoire of poses in most yoga traditions. Everyone can do a headstand, no special abilities are required, we don't need much flexibility or even strength to be able to hold it for a bit. However, to enjoy its full potential we need to be able to hold it with stability and ease for longer stretches of time (2-5 minutes). This is what we'll work towards in this workshop.
Anyone at any stage of their practice is welcome! No prior headstand experience is needed.
